Support Fall 2026 Bird Banding at Burke Lake
Burke Lake Banding Station has been monitoring bird migration since 2012, contributing long-term data while connecting visitors, volunteers, students, and bird enthusiasts with migration research in action.
MSBO is working with Mackinaw Straits Raptor Watch to continue fall bird banding operations at Burke Lake Banding Station in 2026 and beyond. Continued operation depends on raising enough support to fund a full field crew.

All funds designated for MSBO will go directly toward supporting bird banding operations and migration monitoring at Burke Lake Banding Station.
